Indonesia and Germany Agree on Green Infrastructure Cooperation, 4 Provinces Become Priority
The Green Infrastructure Initiative (GII) project is expected to start running in 2023. In the initial stage, four provinces have been selected for further development of preparatory studies.
Starting from the signing of the cooperation in Berlin on October 2, 2019, the Green Infrastructure Initiative (GII) project or the Indonesia-Germany Initiative for Green Infrastructure has now reached the stage of forming a steering committee or steering committee from the two countries.
Indonesia was represented by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenko Marves), the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), and the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu). Meanwhile, on the German side, representatives from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), Kfw Entwicklungsbank (KfW) – the German National Bank, and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) represented.
